Svet Ivanov practiced insurance defence litigation for several years prior to joining Patrick Schindler, Barristers.
Svet practices civil litigation at Patrick Schindler, Barristers. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Svet articled and practiced civil litigation for several years at Genest Murray LLP, a litigation boutique in Toronto specializing in insurance defence. Svet has specific experience in the prosecution and the defence of multi-million dollar commercial, personal injury and First Nations actions, as well as experience in professional liability and insurance coverage. He has served as counsel in two successful jury trials and has conducted a number of successful Small Claims Court trials. Svet has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario and has also appeared before the Federal Court of Appeal.
As a student at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, Svet was awarded the Laskin Prize in Constitutional Law and the Gowlings Prize in Technology and Information Law.
